Schools and teachers use a variety of assessment data to measure progress and inform parents and other stake holders about student learning.  CDE uses state assessment results as part of their evaluation and accreditation of our school.  Schools use school wide assessments to evaluate program effectiveness, and teachers use classroom measurements to monitor learning and growth on an individual student level.
  • State Assessments - Students in grades 3-5 are tested each spring in the areas of Math and Reading/Writing.  These tests are called the Colorado Measures of Academic Success, or CMAS.  More information can be found on the CDE website.
  • I-Ready provides the school and your child's teacher with information about strengths and gaps in learning.  Please visit with your child's teacher if you have any questions about this test.
  • Dibels is a reading test that provides very specific information about early reading skills.
