Reading/Writing  - Oral Expression and Listening

  • Speaking clearly with proper expression and fluency
  • Active listening and respectful to the ideas of others
  • Demonstrate comprehension in a variety of genres (fiction, nonfiction, etc.)
  • Increasing word understanding to increase vocabulary
  • Researching a topic and share findings
  • Using a writing process to a plan, draft, and publish a variety of writings: Narrative, expository/informative, persuasive, descriptive and poetry.
  • Practice and use correct grammar, capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.

    Science :

  • Physical Science: Matter (solid, liquid, gas)
  • Life Science: Life cycle
  • Earth Science: Earth’s materials

Social Science:

  • History: Pilgrims and Native Americans
  • Geography: Maps to locate major landforms and bodies of water
  • Economics: Producers/consumers
  • Civics: Local government and respecting views and rights of others
